Yosemite : Sanctuary in Stone / William Neill.

Neill, William (author,, photographer.). Neill, William (Added Author).

"Yosemite: Sanctuary in Stone is a personal collection of photographs reflecting 46 years of dedication to this wonderous landscape. Living here, photographing Yosemite and its vicinity, I have been working towards this dream for much of my lifetime. I have written a new essay about my 46-year tenure living in or next to Yosemite and selected words from writers and photographers who have inspired me over the decades (including Ansel Adams, John Muir, Gary Snyder, David Robertson, Chiura Obata, Kim Stanley Robinson, Terry Tempest Williams, Philip Hyde, and Paul Caponigro)...I've also included three original poems by Shelton Johnson, a long-time resident of the park. Finally, I am honored that Guy Tal has written an original essay for the book entitled The Seduction of Certain Geographies." - from the photographer's website
